Melina Kannakaredes was born in New York City. She's appeared in the roles of Dr. Sydney Hansen (NBC) and The Resident's Dr. Lane Hunter (The Resident) two medical dramas, on television. Additionally, she earned praise for her debut television performance as a character on Guiding Light on CBS as Eleni Cooper. 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians The Lightning Thief and Snitch are one of her most well-known films roles. The actress is currently working on a movie adaptation of writer Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the pair that wrote the film Immortals. The show she is starring in, Gods & Heroes is currently being developed.
