Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is best known for her roles as a lead actress in countless television series, however, she also has impressive roles on film. Her popularity is shared by the world of Canadian as well as American television. Emily's love for acting first began when, at age 12, she went to visit the sister of Katie who was filming one of Katie's films. Once she discovered her passion for the acting world, Emily enrolled in classes for it and started auditioning. At first, she was able to land a couple of commercials and was soon cast in the Canadian children's television show Are You Scared of the Dark? It was the only scene where she was unable to talk. Her first major breakthrough at 15 when she was cast as a regular in the WB series Glory Days. The show ended up being cancelled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting caught the eye of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his television show Everwood. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer and was also a photographer. Teen listed her as the number one actress in her 20s. Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her as number 51.
